The Giving Tree
By: Shel Silverstein
Together, we read The Giving Tree. Then, we discussed what things we could give or offer to others just like the tree gave to the boy in the story. It had to be something we already have, like kind words, a smile, or doing our best in the classroom. The apples on the tree are the things your child can give everyday during school.
Meet Your Teacher!

Mrs. Webb
Welcome to our website. I have created this site for you to get to know me better, and to assist families with various resources related to education.
The 2011-2012 school year will be my fourth year at F.P.E., which is truly the "place to be." Before becoming a teacher, I worked for many years with a doctor of child psychiatry. I fell in love with the children and families we worked with and decided to become a Special Education Teacher. I graduated in 2008 from Robert B. Miller College and found my teaching home here in Olivet.
I live in Battle Creek with my husband, Doug, and four children. Some of you have already met my daughters, Whitney and Lucy during summer camp. My oldest son, Branden, is an Olivet College graduate. Ethan is a college student working on his degree in Exercise Science. Whitney is a freshman in high school, and Lucy is in sixth grade. Just this summer we added a new family member. Her name is Lola, she is an American Bulldog. They all keep me very busy.
I'm looking forward to the start of a new school year. Come in for a visit and keep checking our website for more information, pictures, and resources.
